I can be fully myself
I attend PSCC because I feel fully welcomed and like I can be fully myself. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and care deeply about social justice, and it means so much to me that I found a church with similar values.
All really means all. Eclectic and thought provoking. Compassionate and active.
Our congregation is like a big family who is there for each other in times of celebration and times of sadness
We originally came to the church after we met Colleen and found her approach novel and refreshing. She's incredible: passionate, entertaining and compassionate. However, we became active members and try to go to as many services as possible because we believe in all that church does for the community and how welcoming our church is to everyone. Our congregation is like a big family who is there for each other in times of celebration and times of sadness. We are very excited about the plans for the future to help provide affordable housing and renovate the preschool.

A welcoming group to all, regardless of your background
At PSCC I feel able to …be part of a community, without feeling tied to a specific set of theological beliefs
I have a heritage of Christianity, but no longer identify as a Christian. At PSCC I feel able to participate in some rituals that are still meaningful like communion, and be part of a community, without feeling tied to a specific set of theological beliefs. Truly there are no strings attached when it comes to members of the LGBTQIA+ community and women being treated with equal rights and respect. I also know that the church is dedicated to social justice and is mindful about what organizations receive financial support from them.

I personally attend PSCC because I enjoy being part of this kind, welcoming, and affirming community of faith. It is a place where I can connect with God and with others and be involved in serving our greater C'ville community both though our preschool ministry and other projects such as the imminent affordable housing build on our property. At PSCC the focus is on loving God and loving others. These are not just words to people, they believe them and live them or to use Pastor Colleen's favorite "made-up" word: they BE-LIVE them.
The constant message of God in each, love, Justice and connection along with an always present radical welcome.
The over all spirit of wise flexibility and continual holistic growth
Well, um, I'm paid to show up. BUT, I have remained because of the over all spirit of wise flexibility and continual holistic growth as we strive to live as people of compassion, grace and collaboration. I pray that PSCC authentically offers space for the inquisitive, the sojourner, those who have felt displaced or have never found a place to be-come who they are inspired, created, chosen to be. All the while, remembering, that journeying together does not require uniformity, but gracious and grateful unity.

PSCC is a delightful hodgepodge of wonderful people who faithfully gather to experience divine presence together. It is laid back calm and people are happy I am always impressed with how much support they give to those who are suffering from life's many issues
I felt so immediately brought in, seen, and cared for
PSCC has become such an important part of my life and faith! I started attending because I was so happy to find an open and affirming church that shares a similar heritage to the denomination I grew up in; I stayed because I felt so immediately brought in, seen, and cared for. It's a really special place, truly loving and genuine in a world that can be apathetic and jaded. I'm so thankful for PSCC!
I enjoy the atmosphere at PSCC with the openness and welcoming behavior of its members. God is portrayed as loving versus punitive, providing hope.
A loving, open and God-Centered community without all of the standardized hoops
PSCC fulfills my need to be part of a loving, open and God-Centered community without all of the standardized hoops to jump through. I like to worship with music and I find this community shares that enjoyment. The smallish size helps with the accessibility of the congregation. Yet there’s always room for more in the fold.
We were invited by visit by a long-time friend. The church was so friendly and welcoming. We loved the people and the staff so much that we decided to stay.
Our commitment to social justice, peace, and love for our neighbors and each other
I'm at PSCC because I feel that God is leading our church family to do great things in our community - through our preschool, our plans for affordable housing, and our commitment to social justice, peace, and love for our neighbors and each other. I feel so loved and valued and heard at PSCC.

Pastor Colleen is the heart of PSCC. She is engaged, caring, and gives sermons that make me think. I love that I can still worship from afar and join in on hybrid zoom groups. It’s a one of a kind church where I feel safe and welcomed.

Very welcoming and transparent, you can come just as you are and you will be warmly received and loved. True to their mission statement, more concerned about what unites us rather than what separates us.
Intimate and inviting atmosphere
Our whole family, including our teenage son, feel the warmth and welcome that PSCC is well known for. We find the intimate and inviting atmosphere a wonderful place for us to worship and join with community in celebrating our faith.
