From the DOC Website:

We are Disciples of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world.

As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome ALL to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.

We welcome and affirm the LGBTQIA+ community at all levels: communion, membership, service, leadership, marriage.

Park Street Christian Church is a dynamic faith community celebrating inclusivity and individuality, creatively responding to the needs of our community through acts of justice, peace, and love.

What do we believe? Here’s our CREDO*:

Creative.
Responsive.
Engaging.
Dynamic.
All are welcome at our Open Table.

*Credo is a Latin word meaning a statement of the beliefs or aims which guide someone's actions.

Let’s start with Open Table.

Our communion table is open to everyone, without exception. We prioritize full LGBTQ+ inclusion at all levels of attendance, membership, and service and firmly uphold the values of inclusiveness and acceptance for all individuals.

Regardless of your gender, race, sexual orientation, political preference, socioeconomic status, country of origin, language proficiency, or intellectual and physical abilities. If you are looking to attend our services, become a member of our congregation, or actively serve in our Church community, we wholeheartedly welcome you.

Creative.

Creativity is the sparkle weaving through all aspects of our church. Not only do we have a group of highly creative people, but we seek to fulfill all of our core values creatively. We are creative in the ways we respond to the needs in and out of our community. We are creative in the ways we are engaging and dynamic. We are creative in the setting and maintaining of our Open Table. We are creative as a people, and we appreciate the creativity of others.

Responsive.

As a church, we do not force our ideas of what people need upon them. Instead, we actively listen, observe, and open our hearts to the needs we encounter within and beyond our church walls.

At Park Street Christian Church, we strive to be aware of the needs of marginalized communities, responding with acts of service that promote justice and peace. We are guided by a deep sense of compassion and empathy.

Engaging.

We strive to create engaging experiences in all our church activities. In our celebration of individuality, we organize events that cater to different levels of participation. When attending our gatherings, people should feel empowered to engage in whatever ways best suit them. We extend invitations to our neighbors, welcoming them into both our building and community through our weekly worship services and various social activities. Whether our events provide a platform for contemplation or a space for enjoyment (but often both), you are invited to join us.

(You can learn more about our upcoming events by visiting our Facebook page here.)

Dynamic.

Our church is vibrant, active, and multi-generational. Members and frequent attenders of Park Street often speak of the congregation as “my people,” without distinguishing among the age groups.

We offer a variety of opportunities for individuals to explore, question, and grow alongside people of all ages. We embrace change and continually seek innovative ways to adapt, allowing us to effectively engage with and respond to the needs of those both inside and outside of our church community.
